The Holdovers
January 2024
Oscar-nominated film features Hudson and De Wolfe RPO tracks

Set in December 1970 and January 1971, The Holdovers stars Paul Giamatti (Sideways) as a strict classics teacher at a New England boarding school who is forced to chaperone a handful of students with nowhere to go on Christmas break. Da'Vine Joy Randolph (Only Murders in the Building) and newcomer Dominic Sessa respectively play the school cafeteria manager and one of the students who stays on campus.

The comedy-drama has been nominated for a number of Oscar and BAFTA FIlm Awards, including Best Picture, Best Actor and Best Supporting Actress. We're pleased to have Peter Milray's Chatter Box and our recording of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No.5 featured in the film.
